1. Use a reliable project management tool.

A project management software can help event planners communicate with their entire team regarding day-to-day activities. Monitoring progress and results can be tracked more easily using this one. This is not a requirement, but it will make your routine easier.

2. Turn your event planning checklist into actionable plans.

Your event planning checklist provides a good overview of all the things you need to accomplish. But, at the end of the day, it’s just a simple checklist. In order to help you execute your tasks, you must turn this simple checklist into an action plan that is complete with deadlines, specific steps and individuals responsible.

3. Secure the venue.

Your next goal is to look for a venue, and then seal the deal. But, before you can even come up with a shortlist, you must address the key questions first. What is your preferred event location? How much is your budget? How many guests do you want to accommodate? By answering these, you can decide what place is suitable for you.

4. Hire event vendors.

This includes any person who is delivering a product or service for your event, from decorations and catering to video and photography. Whether you are planning a small conference or a big business corporate event in Malaysia, it’s crucial to invest in these services. Communicate with your potential vendors well, and don’t hesitate to ask for references from their previous clients.

5. Create a website or event pages.

Implement a good event promotion strategy. That way, you can show people that your event is worth attending. If possible, create a website. By just viewing a web page, they should be able to know every piece of information about the event. Should they register online? Where can they get tickets? Your event promotion plan must also reflect event expenses. Remember, even if you don’t have a huge budget, there are still ways to promote the event in a big audience.
